The 2014 Honda Accord hybrid goes on sale today, with a base price of $29,905, including destination. The EX-L model goes for $32,695, and the top Touring model will sell for $35,695. All versions of the hybrid get Honda’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine with a two-motor hybrid system.

Toyota showed the latest, third-generation Avensis, a car that typically whips up as much excitement from car enthusiasts as the Eurovision Song Contest does with music aficionados. The Avensis is one of those cars that typically provides loyal service to company car reps before naturally seeing out as its days as a minicab, pine scent dangling from rear-view mirror. The new one though is a much tidier effort in its styling, and the Tourer (estate) version is bordering on the svelte.
Here's Jaguar's M5-killer: the new 2013 XFR-S. By taking an already potent XFR and plumbing in the 542bhp engine from the XKR-S coupe, Jag has created a saloon with XJ220 power. The Jag XFR-S was unveiled today at the 2012 Los Angeles auto show.
